In fact, unlike the original roof rack which has a long front and rear overhang on which the weight of the load needs to be reduced, for our Out-Rack roof rack for New Defender 110 we have designed the roof brackets to support it along its entire length. It is therefore installed with 4 attachment points on each side. Three of them, on the longitudinal rails plus one at the front fixing point, present on the roof but covered by the front plastic of the rails that will therefore have to be drilled. Don’t worry, a simple plastic cover is drilled, not the roof! Once the roof rack is eventually removed, it will be enough to cover the hole with a common plastic cap as already present in Defenders that do not have those rails. In this way, the roof rack will be suitable for loading roof tents or what you need for your travels in every inch of it.
